This giveaway is from 5 o'clock crows! Here's a little bit about the owner, Sara, in her own words:
"Off the top of my head- my formal education is in fine-art printmaking- (I have an MFA from LSU, did my undergrad at Syracuse- surely more education than is reasonable, especially in a field with no real-world currency. Maybe that's why I'm going at building my business- to make my own real-world currency). Just before I left for grad school I took a fibers class and fell in love. I was fortunate enough to meet a hand-dyer in the printmaking program where i did my grad work and I went from there.
My printmaking background pops up in all sorts of ways- especially my love of process. I'm also work in fine art- making object multiples- actually, there's a bit of crossover between my fine art and craft work, both involve multiples, fiber, wax, dye.
I've been focusing on my craft work more and more lately because
1.- I want to build my business and there isn't enough time for both and, more importantly,
2. I think that beauty + function is SO important.
I love fine art, but I miss the functional aspect when I make something that hangs on the wall. Not that hanging on the wall isn't a function in and of itself, but it's not "functional" in the same way as a dishtowel- something that can be used, touched, felt, related to in more of an everyday way. I think these everyday interactions that we don't even think about create a sort of "intimacy", or at least a relationship between the user and the product. "

Such beautiful fabric, my favorite items are the hand dyed Oxford coaters, I know that is at least one thing I would get with the gift certificate. They are great! And would really spruce on the tables in a little apartment.

The Chevron Lattice Quilt / Napping Size is beautiful!
The batik dinner napkins in purple with the bubble chain are especially nice. I like to use dinner napkins to wrap small gifts. It become part of the gift and no paper to thtow away.
I really like the hand dyed coasters / watermelon shibori. The colors are so vibrant!
