5 Beauty Tips for Busy Moms on a Budget

Pin It Now! beauty tips for busy moms

Many moms are so involved in working and chasing after kids all the time that taking care of themselves fall low on their priority list. I have 5 tips I've discovered that may help cut a few minutes out of my morning routine without breaking your budget.

-Lemons are a great way to get whiter nails. Just cut the lemons and rub your nails.

-Mix olive oil, mayonnaise, avocado, & eggs then put on your hair then rinse out and wash. You will be amazed at the shiny, healthy-looking results.

-This is a busy moms make up kit to never leave home without. Eye lash curler, mascara, & lip gloss.

-Make sure you are drinking enough water. Your skin will have a fresh and lustrous glow if you are getting the recommended amount of water for your body.

-Take advantage of two in one products. Ex:Tinted moisturizer, Shampoo & Conditioner, tanning lotion, etc.

What are some frugal beauty short cuts you've found?

Wow I new I wasn't drinking enough water but I'm getting no where near the amount I need. And my skin is so dry. I am going to try to increase my water intake ASAP.

I'm working on that too. You think it would be such an easy habit to get into but it's been difficult for me. Let me know how it goes for you.

Just a small convenience that I've found - the Schick Intuition razor that has lathering cream built in around the razor. Makes shaving quicker and easier, and travels well too. I swear I don't work for them :) Not exactly cheap, but often goes on sale at CVS and has coupons available.

Wow, I never knew that you could use lemons to whiten your nails. I'll have to try that. Now I just need something to make them quit breaking all the time. ;)

I believe you Rachel. :) I began using that razor in college for it's convenience and I loved it! ...I can't remember why I ever stopped using it. Thanks for the tip!

Carly, I'll be adding this to an upcoming post but I'll let you in on this fab-u-lous nail secret early. Nailtique is a amazing product that will set you back about $20 but it is worth every penny (and you know I'm frugal)! It's a nail protein (instead of polish) and you apply one coat a day and remove it and start over every 5-7 days. Your nails will have less ridges, be whiter, and soooo strong. My nails always peel and this is the only thing that helps. Okay, I'll save the rest for my upcoming post. :)

Great tips! We also recommend keeping a small spritz bottle of your favorite styling gel in your purse or diaper bag. That way you can do a quick hair fix whenever/wherever you are!

Great tips. I am all for the all in one products. It's like once you have kids there is no such thing as time to pamper yourself. I realized that by washing my hair everyday and then using products for dry hair that it was because I washed it too much. I switched to washing my hair every other day and the water from the shower on the days I didn't lather up was enough to keep my hair clean. It was a viscious cycle. My dry hair needed conditioners and extra frizz care because it was too dry. So this actually saves me a little time in the morn. :)
