Beauty Products For a Cause: Breast Cancer Awareness

If you're like me you want to help support Breast Cancer research but are ever leery of companies who will promote pink products just to make a sell. I've compiled a list for you of beauty products from companies that will make a donation per sale. These aren't the companies that have made a one time donation of a few thousand and will turn around and make much more selling their pink products because people will buy them thinking that their purchase will help make a donation. If you know of any other products that should be added to the list just let me know!
Darphin Soothing Cream (an Estée Lauder company), $70 - with $20 being donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Philosophy Shower for the Cure, $20 All the proceeds go to the Entertainment Industry Foundation's Women's Cancer Research Fund.
Kim Kardashian Fragrance Rollerball, $16
10% of sales will be donated to the Young Survival Coalition, founded in 1998 by three young breast cancer survivors. For a limited time only, enter "CURE" at checkout to receive 10% off your Pink Ribbon Rollerball purchase.
Avon is the largest corporate supporter of the breast cancer cause, and the largest corporate-affiliated foundation for women’s causes, with programs in more than 50 countries. They are donating 100% of the proceeds from the following items to the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade.

Are you one of the many people puzzled recently by the colored Facebook statuses?
Rest easy, I have the info!
Each color status messages refer to the color bra your female Facebook friend is wearing. Why you ask? It's all a part of a campaign to raise awareness for breast cancer. It is to get people talking about breast cancer, going to their doctor for examinations, & doing at home self-examinations. There's no word yet on the origin of the campaign but what a fun way to spread the word around the world!
This is also suppose to be a girls-only secret, so shhh don't tell! : )

I love to see all the individuals and businesses - large and small - working to fight against breast cancer. If you don't know yet, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
According to the American Cancer Society, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer within her lifetime; that's 12 percent of all women who will be personally impacted by the disease.
Those numbers are staggering.
Absolutely staggering!
Even if you are one of the 'fortunate 7' out of 8 who doesn'tt get a personal diagnosis, you are sure to know someone else who has been diagnosed. Breast cancer has a personal impact on us all.
Yoplait is working with Susan G. Komen for the Cure again this year - they've donated millions of dollars over the last decade. You may have noticed the specially marked pink lids on Yoplait products in your grocery store. For each one that you save, wash, and send in, Yoplait will donate 10 cents to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. They will donate up to 1.5 million and at least $500,000 (see site for full details)
This year Yoplait is making it easier than ever for you to join with others in their Save Lids to Save Lives program. You can start up a team or join an existing team to encourage each others and work together.
