Nude Skincare Cleansing Facial Oil Review

I was recently able to get my hands on a sample of Nude Skincare Cleansing Facial Oil. This brand comes highly recommended by many beauty loving, earth conscious people so I figured I would give it a try.
The cleanser went on and off smoothly and removed all of my makeup quickly. It also provided a light moisturizer which I loved. As I would do with any oil cleanser I did a nail test and it passed with flying colors. I lightly ran my nail down my cheek to see if any residue was left behind and there wasn't any.
My only concern is the fragrance in the oil. Don't get me wrong, it smells lovely but I'm afraid that if I used this daily it might break out my sensitive skin.
All in all this is a great cleanser that leaves your skin fresh, soft, and clean. However if you have sensitive skin, I would use caution.
Ingredients: glycine soja (soybean) oil, polyglyceryl-4-oleate, squalene, tocopherol acetate, fragrance (parfum), benzyl benzoate, linalool, eugenol.
Availability: Sephora.com and NudeSkincare.com
Price: $36.00/ 3.4 fl. oz.
Rating: 4 stars

Paperspring StickyStock Review

Last year I had the privilege of working with Paperspring and reviewing their personalized cards so I was thrilled when they asked me to do another review for them. I'm still bragging to others what amazingly thick and beautiful cards they make!
This review came as I was planning a baby shower for a friend of mine so

Here's Paperspring's video describing StickyStock so you can see it's awesomeness for yourself.
What creative uses can you think of for StickyStock? I think they would make great reminder notes for the kid's bathroom with instructions to wash your hands, brush your teeth, etc. My favorite idea is to find pretty graphics to go along with different Bible verses. Having them visible around the house would be a good reminder as well as a way to memorize more Scripture. Let us know what creative ideas you can think of!

Book Review: Great Negotiations- Agreements that Changed the Modern World

* Franklin at the French Court in 1778:
* The Louisiana Purchase, 1803
* The Congress of Vienna 1814-1815
* The Portsmouth Treaty, 1905
* The Paris Peace Conference, 1919
* The Egyptian-Israeli Armistice Agreement, 1949
* The Cuban Missile Crisis, 1962
* The Reykjavik Summit, 1986
Stanton's introduction begins: "Words as much as weapons, shape history. Whether to avert, assist, or secure the resolution of a conflict, in the modern age, diplomacy has had great triumphs and bitter failures."
Great Negotiations is an extremely well researched and well written book. It contains letters, diaries, and transcripts. I was excited to read this book but I expected it to be a collection of dry facts, but to my surprise it's not. Each negotiation is full of details that continually build the suspense. This book would make a great gift for anyone who enjoys history!

Overall, I was very impressed with t he Dyson DC25 Animal! The ball technology is easy to use and it maneuvered smoothly and effortlessly. The bin capacity is .31 gallons which allows me to vacuum our entire house without having to empty the canister several times. The suction was brilliant, the attachments easily snapped into place, and I'm just crazy about it. This is hands down the best vacuum that I have ever owned! I love the fact that I'll never have to buy bags or belts to keep this vacuum running smooth. Nature Made SAM-e Complete Review & Giveaway Ends 8/16
Product Info:

SAM-e is a naturally occurring compound that is found in all living things. It’s distributed throughout the human body and it contributes to maintaining mood levels.
SAM-e's website says, " SAM-e helps other molecules in the brain do their jobs making you feel like your normal self. SAM-e helps to promote a healthy mood by ensuring a balance of overall healthy brain cell functions. If taken regularly, SAM-e can begin to help in as little as 7 – 14 days."
My Review:
I was sent a 3 month supply of SAM-e Complete to give a try. I tell you the pills couldn't have came on a better day. On the day they came I was stressed and moody. Since they came on a difficult day which I would hopefully recover from anyway I will skip ahead to my review of SAM-e now, 2 weeks later. I do feel a little more focused and more excited about facing the day. I can't say that there is a huge difference at this point so I will revisit this review and write another post after I finish my first month's box and let you know how I'm doing at that point.
Buy it:
You can buy Nature Made's SAM-e where ever vitamins are sold. Visit SAM-e's website to get links to several well-known online retailers that sell SAM-e.

ProFlowers Bonsai Review

Okay, now, to be honest, I am a terrible, terrrrrrrible gardener. I've killed all sorts of fruits and vegetables, house plants, and even a cactus! This bonsai is quite a high maintenance plant so I fear for it's survival. ProFlowers were nice enough to include a detailed instruction pamphlet for me to follow and even included a list of optional books to purchase to learn how to tend to and shape bonsai trees like a pro....sooo maybe it stands a chance. I'll keep ya posted. :)
All in all, I love ProFlowers and recommend them to everyone. It's my go to flower store for birthdays, Mother's Day, sympathy, and get-well flowers. If you haven't tried them before keep them in mind for the next time you need a gift basket or flowers.

All Earring and Supplies Shop

Where do you go when you need the right supplies to make gorgeous jewelery? Here is THE site to meed all your jewelry making needs.
Here's my interview with AllEarringsAndSupplies' owner, Toni.
What inspired you to open your shop?

I enjoy being crafty, and jewelry making actually pushes my creativity buttons. I sell supplies because when I was making jewelry, I had such an over abundance of supplies, I thought I really needed to move some of these supplies to make room for new things. When I put my supplies on my site, they started selling quicker than I could put new things on, so, I figured maybe I should sell supplies instead. So, here I am.
What's your favorite piece of jewelery to wear?
As for wearing jewelry, the funny thing is, I can't. I am allergic to metal. But, I can appreciate a beautiful piece of jewelry just as much as the next person.
What is your favorite item in your shop right now?
My favorite items in my shop tend to be the Swarovski Crystals. Anything with these crystals in it. I sell a lot of loose crystals as well as elements that have many Swarovski crystals in them, such as, toggle, clasp, drop, link etc. I also love my cameos of vintage looking flowers and ladies etc.

As it turns out, as much as I enjoy making jewelry, I absolutely love beads. I love the colors, the feel, the textures. I love seeing what someone has made from something I have sold them. I enjoy adding new things to my site and see how people react.
Is there anything else you would like to share?
I love the aspect of talking to people with ideas and them sending me photos of what they are working on, or advise of a particular bead, whether it would work for what they are doing or not. I just love the contact with the people who buy my products.
I hope you'll check out AllEarringsandSupplies and get inspired to make something beautiful!

Rubbermaid Food Storage w/ Easy Find Lids Review

Rubbermaid Storage Specifics:

Functionality: Rubbermaid Easy Fit Lids have a special snap that helps when stacking unused containers. I can stuff anything from craft items, batteries, office supplies, and of course food inside and can snap it shut with ease. With the lids secured, I can stack several containers without worrying about them falling down.
Appearance: These are the cutest Rubbermaid containers I've seen. These new Rubbermaid Food Storage containers are made of thick, rigid, clear plastic with swirls on the sides. The lid even has a little see through window so I can see what's inside at a glance. They look very neat when filled and stacked together and of course these new containers fit together great when empty too.
Overall, Rubbermaid Snaptoppers Storage Containers help me keep my cabinets & fridge organized. They've proven to be durable and endlessly useful. Simply fill, snap, and stack your way to a more functional and organized home. I'm tempted to buy another set and get rid of all my mismatched containers.

Keurig Special Edition
When I first heard of Keurig I thought it was only for corporations. It's so sleek and fancy that I thought for sure it was only for use in hospitals, waiting rooms, the work place, etc. Then I heard that they had home editions...and I was interested! To be honest, I did pause to wondered…do I really need something like this? I hardly ever drink coffee anymore. That got me thinking. Why don’t I ever drink coffee? It is not that I don’t like it. I have always had a taste for it since my great aunt let me have a mug to dip my chocolate chip cookies in. I quickly realized, the fact I don’t drink coffee on a regular basis is because my husband doesn’t like coffee. We have a small coffee maker that I use every now and then but mostly when we have company over. It's always seemed rather pointless to brew a whole pot of coffee for one person. Even though I don’t drink coffee at home, I'll hardly ever buy it when I go out. I just can’t bring myself to pay $5 for a good cup of coffee. After checking out the details of Keurig’s single cup brewing systems, I was sold! Keurig seems to solve all my problems and even have a few extra features.

As you can probably imagine, when I was asked to review a Keurig’s Special Edition Brewing System, I was elated! After looking through every bit of information on this system online and checking it out for myself at Bed Bath & Beyond, I was amazed by all it’s features. This system allows you to brew your favorite coffee, hot chocolate, or tea in 3 different cup sizes: 6 oz., 8 oz., & 10 oz. K

Features overview:
- Three Brew Size Choices - 6 oz, 8 oz, & 10 oz
- Removable 48oz. Water Reservoir
- Programmable LCD Message Center
- Removable Drip Tray
- Blue Backlit LCD & Water Reservoir
- Chrome Accents
- Quiet Brew™ Technology
In addition to the Special Edition Brewing System's functional characteristics, the aesthetic appeal of this system is pretty impressive. The sleek black design, chrome finishes, and the blue backlit display make this model perfect for any home regardless of the decor.
Now, on to what I thought about it... all things considered, I love it! This machine is my new favorite toy. I love that this system allows me to finally enjoy a hot cup of coffee without having to mess with making a whole pot of coffee, keeping fresh coffee grounds or messing with those pesky coffee filters. This brewing system was super simple to figure out and to use. The first time you start up the system each day it takes only a few minutes (3 or 4) to warm up then once warmed up, just insert your k-cup of choice and the button indicating the size cup you want to brew. In less than 30 seconds, you have a delicious cup of coffee to enjoy! I don't see how it could get any easier than that!
Another aspect I love is how many different flavors of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate there are!
After reviewing this machine for a few of weeks, I have concluded that there is only one thing I would like to change. I would like to add Ghirardelli & Red Rose tea to the list of K-cups offered. That's it though, not a very big complaint, huh? *Just for clarification - Keurig does have Ghiradelli packets that you can mix with hot water from your system but not an actual cup*
Check out Keurig and see if you think one of their machines would be good for you and your family.

Four Truffles' Earth Apple Creamy Body Smoother Review
Four Truffles says that their fruity scent, Earth Apple, is known to evoke energy and feelings of love and happiness. How about that? That sounds pretty good to me!
Four Truffles Body Smoother is an exfoliating blend of natural sugar crystals and mild milk-based sulfate-free cleansing agents that gently polish dead surface cells while the hydrating organic oils in our 4T PDN Complex provide nourishment to boost skins radiance.
Directions: After you shower or bathe, massage Body Smoother onto skin in a circular motion. Apply twice on dry areas like elbows and heels. Avoid using on freshly shaved skin. Rinse thoroughly. Pat dry. Use every other day and follow with Body Oil or Body Butter.
My View: There really isn't anything that I don't love about this product:
- The Earth Apple scent is yummy!
- My skin was left feeling silky smooth.
- The thickness was perfect; not too runny or too thick.
- The tube was much easier to use than the normal tubs exfoliators come in.
About the Company:

Straight from their website:
"When creating our brand name we really strived to have the Four Truffles represent the philosophy and function of the brand. The 4T PDN complex covers the formulation for beauty on the outside and philosophically, the four truffles represent beauty on a spiritual level - Love, Hope, Faith & Eternity. My Personalized Anniversary Gift - A Review

Let me back up a bit... Time was ticking as it was getting closer to my husband and my anniversary. Two months before an anniversary is probably adequate time for most people to choose a gift but I was getting anxious. I'm the kind of person who likes to have Christmas gifts chosen and bought 6 months in advance so not having an idea what I was going to get my husband was quite distressing. I decided to take a look at the traditional gift for a second anniversary and see if that could give me some inspiration. I was pretty bummed when I found out that the gift was cotton. Cotton, really? Cotton is suppose to be symbolic of the comfort two people feel with one another after two years. Very cute, right? But I knew I couldn't get him a sweater or socks for an anniversary gift so I would have to be creative. After a few days of thinking I remembered a memory quilt kit I saw for sale online. It was a quilt kit that incorporated old t-shirts into a quilt. I thought this would be the perfect gift because my husband adores some of his old t-shirts, absolutely adores them...I mean, some of them are so special that they can't even be worn any more. What a great way to keep those meaningful t-shirts around! Seeing how it's an anniversary gift I thought it would be a nice idea to combine his old shirts with a few of my old shirts. While I felt confident I could sew a few straight lines I knew that my skills were not up to the task of making a good looking quilt (and I couldn't chance messing up his favorite shirts!) so I had to look elsewhere.
I did a google search for a company that made t-shirt quilts and to be honest I wasn't satisfied with any of what I found. The quilts looked cheap, poorly made, or just plain tacky. I decided to look to etsy; a big favorite of mine for personalized gifts! This time I didn't look for a shop that specialized in t-shirt quilts but nice, good-looking, quality quilts. I found a few I liked but one

Carolyn was so great to work with! She let me chose any fabric that I wanted for the quilt. I found fabric for the front and back of the quilt from a shop online and she ordered it and took care of everything. She helped me find the right size for my needs and helped me understand the reinforcing process of quilts.

Ready to see my husband's quilt? Here it is! I am quite pleased with the way it turned out. It has a good variety of t-shirt from different periods of our lives woven together. Carolyn's work was perfect! I assumed it would be nice because after all, I searched for someone I felt I could trust to make the quilt but I had no idea how incredibly nice it would be. The quilt has a good amount of fluff to it, the seems were straight, and I love the variety of sizes and shapes that were thrown into the arrangement.

So take a look at Bipedal Humm and see if they have anything that you would be interested in. Or you could think of an item that you would like personalized and have Carolyn work with you to create it. She makes more than quilts; she sells place-mats, napkins, pillow shams & totes. Who would you like to create a gift for? Mom, Dad, spouse, best friend? Go visit Bipedal Humm to get inspired.
By the way, my husband LOVES his quilt. He was less impressed with my idea of combining our t-shirts to be romantic (although he liked it) but he was thrilled I found a way to preserve his beloved shirts. In summary, the quilt was a big hit at our house!

Simple Organized Sanity - Meal Planning Help

About SOS:
Straight from the owner, Christie Love, " I chose to pursue my dream career in professional organizing because I believe it is the best way to share my God given talents and abilities with others. I've always had a knack and a love for planning and organizing spaces and rooms as well as scheduling and managing time. One of my favorite quotes is by the British writer, Katherine Whithorn, "Find out what you like doing best and get others to pay you for it." This quote is what inspired me to start Simple Organized Sanity in January 2009."
Review:

Great tips:
Meal Planning Tips
1. Plan one or two weeks at a time with your coupons in mind.
2. Write your grocery list at the same time as your menu.
3. Schedule days for certain kind of meals, foods, or who cooks.
Quick tips for planning healthy meals1. Change the milk you drink to 1% or Skim Milk.
2. Look for baked potato chips to replace traditional potato chips.
3. Fruit smoothies make a great breakfast – they are fast, easy, and super healthy!
4. When baking you can make these healthy replacements
5. Switch from refined white breads and white flour to products that contain whole grains.
6. Look for low calorie, low sodium, low fat versions of your favorite foods.
7. Try to use fresh or frozen veggies since canned ones are often high in sodium.
8. Use egg substitutes or Egg Whites in recipes
9. Replace salt with low sodium salt or even sea salts
10. Look for alternatives to rich desserts like fruit desserts, frozen yogurt, frozen fruit treats, etc…
She shared a ton of great ideas and I have already been able to put most of the tips Christie gave me to good use! While I still wish there was at least 2 extra hours in the day to do nothing but cook and bake I am learning to better maximize my time in the kitchen and work smarter not harder. I think what I am most thankful for from Christie is the permission to "cook" a frozen meal once a week. I always felt like I was cheating but she convinced me that it was OK. : ) Since my call with Christie, our family has tried two different Bertolli frozen dinners and have really enjoyed them. Each meal was ready in 10 minutes tops and only cost $5.88 from Walmart. What a great tip!

Splenda Sweetener Blog Tour

Recently, I had the chance to try out the popular artificial sweetener, Splenda! Not only that but I got this awesome Splenda Tastebook filled with simple, yummy, and healthy recipes. I have to be honest with you...about 6 months ago I bought a large package of Splenda from one of those big box stores. I was excited to find a bag big enough that I could use it for cooking...but I never used it, not once! I've been afraid of a bitter aftertaste. So when I had the opportunity to try Splenda and recipes that work well with Splenda I was excited.
Once I got the tastebook in my hands I was pumped to make healthier choices and I made a plan to try a new dessert every week. So far I've tried their strawberry & banana smoothie and it was heavenly!!! I couldn't believe how good it was. With my next Splenda experiment I'll have to share the recipe and a few pictures.
I encourage you to give it a try, you just might like it. : )
“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Splenda and received products necessary to facilitate my candid review. In addition, a donation was made in my name to the Meals on Wheel organization to thank me for taking the time to participate.”
